| Description: | Co-workers or clients who are impossible to work with can make your job difficult and affect your productivity. We all work with a variety of personalities in the workplace. Effectively coping with difficult people, whether they are customers or coworkers is an invaluable skill. Focusing on the issue and not the anger or strong emotions conveyed by others can lead to a more industrious work environment. Clear and open communication, as well as customer satisfaction, can be increased with active listening and assertiveness in difficult situations. Troy Farmer, MSW works with Human Management Services, Inc. (HMS) as a clinician and trainer. Troy worked for a financial institution for 11 years as a Human Resources Representative and Education and Development Coordinator.
