| Description: | Being able to effectively “state what we mean” and successfully understand “what is said” too often result in confusing and misunderstood conversation. Successful dialogue depends on speaker and listeners becoming familiar with and developing an appreciation of all communication styles. This workshop teaches participants how to improve their communication skills by recognizing the communication styles used by different personality types and mastering the language that will get them what they want. Troy Farmer, MSW works with Human Management Services, Inc. (HMS) as a clinician and trainer. Troy worked for a financial institution for 11 years as a Human Resources Representative and Education and Development Coordinator. Troy brings a wealth of experience from both her corporate and human services experience in training management. Troy earned her Master's in Clinical Social Work from Widener University. She graduated from Widener with honors and was selected as a recipient of an Award for Who's Who in America Amongst Collegiate Graduates. |
